I've been on meds for gosh, about four or five years now, and it's been overall a povitise experience. Taking medication doesn't mean you're weak or codependent, only that you're being proactive in your selfcare. They give you the extra boost you need to be able to live your life fully quiet the voices, so to speak. I've been on a cocktail of different meds and it takes a while to find what works best for you, but being medicated really isn't such a negative thing. Talk to your psychiatrist about your concerns and they will help you through it, 100%.

I find the herb Damiana to be a very useful tool in moivng the body's subtle energies to a friendlier frequency. It can be had as a tea, which I find most effective, or you can smoke it. It's not really easy on the lungs though. If you smoke it, mix it with gentler herbs like lavender and drink some marshmallow root tea to soothe the lungs. Flower essences have totally rescued me in the past. It sounds silly and a lot like faerie magic, but the essences work on an energetic level and help bring your entire being into a higher/happier state, rather than just your brain. You may have seen Bach's Rescue Remedy at City Market in a yellow box. Drop some of that into any water you drink. I find that my darkness lifts in about twenty minutes. Also, gentian essence helps you get over any sort of obstacles or fallbacks you have. It's amazing stuff. Also, when in a sort of crisis moment, burning sage can alter your present mood dramatically. I find it totally relaxes me and my muscles drop a lot of tension. Diffusing essential oils help to stabilize moods too.
